Rare Early Rosewood Rocking Chair by Sam Maloof. Rarely constructed in rosewood and upholstered in black leather, this rocking chair was made around 1963. It is an early model that pioneered his later iconic rocking chairs that are sought after by collectors worldwide. This chair is from the collection of John Maloof, the grandson of Sam Maloof. According to John, this chair was originally made for John F. Kennedy, but after the president’s untimely passing, Sam gave it to his daughter, Marilouise, who then passed it down to John. The chair is stamped mark designed made MALOOF California. Literature: A comparable early example is illustrated on page 118 in the book “The Furniture of Sam Maloof” by Jeremy Adamson, W. 8 Early Style All Bisque Kestner, Stiff Hips, Wrestler-Beautifull 1880 orig

Early style all-bisque Kestner measuring about 8. Tall with no wig. She has beautiful blue glass paperweight eyes (original set). Appears to have a “1” on lower back of head. Wrestler-like chunky contours of torso, muscular hips, thighs and calves. Well-defined small bosom emphasized by tightly-fitting silk dress. Round face, stiff hips, peg jointed arms (left arm modeled with more bend at elbow than right arm). Her head is made in a position turned to the right. Two-strap bootines, vertically ribbed white stockings. She has dark multi-stroked brows, finely painted lashes, closed mouth, accented nostrils and eye corners, dimpled knees. Dark blonde mohair wig with cloth skull cap and cardboard pate (I don’t know whether it’s vintage or antique). Highest quality bisque in perfect condition with no damage or repairs. Short scratch (mold flaw) on back of neck below the inscribed “1”. Her right eye has a thin vertical crack, which I believe is original to its making. The dress being sewn on I’ve felt through the fabric and I can’t feel any chips or other damage to the body and joints. She wears a flattering custom sewn blue silk dress, with dark blue velvet trimmed shoulders and bow on back of skirt. The bodice of dress is tightly fitting, which emphasizes the contours of her bosom. Fabric is in excellent, sturdy condition, except for stretching damage on upper back. Dress is sewn on, so I won’t attempt to cut it off. Sewn-on antique lace underwear. Thank you for looking. GORGEOUS! 17 Closed Mouth VII Kestner Antique Doll 1882 Original Wig Early

These dolls dont come up to often… But to have one come up that is considered first out the mold.. She stands at 17 inches. She has a bisque socket head. Brown glass sleep eyes with a closed mouth. Her ORIGINAL mohair wig!! So beautiful and with charming styling. ORIGINAL early wooden and composition fully jointed with straight wrists. She has markings : VII. She is a rare early model. Her deity res are very well painted and defined. That is what is so special with this doll! She is in EXCELLENT condition. I see no hairlines, cracks or repairs. She has a beautiful dress with tons of detail and undergarments. Just look at the photos and see how cute she is. Her shoes are actually one of my favorite things about her! Vintage early 1900’s wardrobe steamer trunk

This is a black leather wardrobe with brass hasps clasps and corner protectors. Previous owner was a antique collector. A 90 year old lady a retired teacher who is the original owner. Her name is margaret Jurrell. Not sure of the last name spelling but its close in spelling. Jurrell and her sister used this trunk travelling to the east coast to college. The stickers are still on the outside, see attaches photos. Jurrell lives in central WI. Colleges attended are on the stickers on the trunk. Their is minor damage to the outside, to the locking mechanism shown in picture and to some leather at the exterior also shown in pics. Let the photos be the best descriptor of this item.
