Huge estate sale lot of approximately 650 or more postcards. They range from the early 1900s thru the about the 1950s. These account for roughly 1/3 of the lot, and they have stamps and personal messages in German and postmarks. The original owner (the daughter) was from Hamburg Germany and moved to Ohio in the 20s or 30s. She collected souvenir postcards and postcard photo packs from historic American tourist attractions as well as postcards from Germany. Notably, there are over 100 different Hamburg postcards, ranging from WW1 era through after WW2. I tried to show some good examples from the lot in the photos. There are so many, obviously hundreds more than what are shown, and a great many are very good and quite scarce. A good mix of black and white and color. Some are signed by the artists. Some are hand drawn. Some are quite rare and military related. Some of them are Native American related. Victorian, Christmas, Children, Flowers, Churches, Landmarks, Etc. There is an excellent collection of souvenir photo cards from tourist spots included. The photos do not do these justice, as most of them contain 10 to 20 cards, are in excellent condition, and some of them are miniatures, or even fold out or other novelties.
