Antique Vintage Steamer Trunk Case Goldsmith Co. CHEST- Black With Hangers Drawers
This Vintage Steamer Trunk was built in Baltimore, Maryland U. A in the early 1900s. It was constructed with durable black leather and lined with beautiful brass fixtures. The interior houses a functional clothing rack with the ability to protrude and retract (Included are the original natural wood hangers, 7 total). Opposite the clothing rack are two gorgeous removable royal blue drawers. These drawers have black leather straps that serve to secure its contents and fasten it to the trunk during travel or storage. The black leather exterior is in good condition with no large rips/defects. The brass fixtures have developed a lovely patina over the years. The brass side locks that hold close the trunk work perfectly. The original lock is still in place but the key has been lost, so the locking mechanism has been bypassed to freely open the trunk. One of the leather fasteners that serve to hold the top drawer in place is missing the button that locks it in place. Please note the expected wear to the exterior from normal use and time. Vintage early 1900’s wardrobe steamer trunk
This is a black leather wardrobe with brass hasps clasps and corner protectors. Previous owner was a antique collector. A 90 year old lady a retired teacher who is the original owner. Her name is margaret Jurrell. Not sure of the last name spelling but its close in spelling. Jurrell and her sister used this trunk travelling to the east coast to college. The stickers are still on the outside, see attaches photos. Jurrell lives in central WI. Colleges attended are on the stickers on the trunk. Their is minor damage to the outside, to the locking mechanism shown in picture and to some leather at the exterior also shown in pics. Let the photos be the best descriptor of this item. 1920s Vintage Louis Vuitton Monogram Steamer Trunk
Please let us know if you have any questions. Vintage 1920s Label Louis Vuitton Monogram Steamer Trunk. One leather handle is on one exterior side while the other has come off but is inside the trunk. The label and stamped number appear inside the trunk on one side. All four original caster are still present and functioning. The trunk is in very good condition considering age and use. There are wear issues on the exterior that can be examined in the photos. There is no key. The interior has no trays or extras but is very clean. For more great items like this!
