1950’s Vintage Bamboo Rattan Cane Reclining Sun Lounger Steamer Chair. An absolutely stunning and very Rare find. A 1950’s Bamboo framed cane/rattan Sun Lounger Steamer Chair that Folds down and reclines. Ideal for lazy summer days in the garden, on the veranda, or by the pool, the extending Bamboo Sun Lounger with reclining back in 3 different positions and has a foot rest that stows away beneath the chair when not required. Made from natural materials this stylish Steamer Chair is perfect for summer use and should be stored inside in bad weather to keep it looking smart for years to come. Back folds down for easy storage. The chair is in usable condition but may need a few repairs to improve some of the cane/rattan (please see my pictures) The frame is solid and the seat and metal rails and hooks at the back are all fully functional. This is a real statement item and would look fantastic in the garden/conservatory or as a prop or display item. Made by Vulcan Can Furniture of Sheffield and comes with the original manufacturers tag and 3 cushions, there’s could very easily be recovered and if not simple pillowcases would fit I did try this and they are a perfect fit, you could also just use a throw. The back cushion has a flap that goes over the chair. Measuring approximately 52cm Wide 90cm Deep (when folded). 39cm seat height 58cm curved arm height 185 cm when fully extended 90 cm when folded. Four metal hooks that slot the back of the seat to different heights from sat up to laying down. (Please see my pictures).
