Late 50s 60s era Cardigan Sweater- Due to condition and demand price is firm. Item I s in good used condition with light wear. Minor hangar damage (should remove in dry cleaning) has been folded since found. Small thread pulls from original weave. Possibly could be missing 1 replacement button that are located on back side. Tagged a Medium and measurements are provided for best fit. 22 pit to pit. 19 shoulder to shoulder. For sale here is an extremely nice 1950s Vintage Athletic Wool Letter Sweater made by Sand Knit in Berlin Wisconsin. The sweater features a six button front closure, cuffed sleeves, hanging waist, mock collar, and two waist patch pockets. The left patch pocket has been covered by a light blue and white letter Y with a track winged shoe in the center. The letter is hand tacked onto the sweater with white thread and the track shoe is hand tacked with black onto the letter. I picked this sweater up in Hillsville Virginia, but do not know which high school or college it represented. The sweater is made of white or ivory loose knit wool and does show some soiling, very light pilling, and a few minor piques. The white plastic buttons do show some age darkening. Most of the soiling is to the front of the sweater and is what you would expect from normal wear. The sweater should clean up well if carefully and professionally cleaned. In the collar there is a tag that is marked Sand Knit Athletic Knitwear and Clothing Sand Knitting Mills Corp Berlin, WIS. The sweater is probably made to stretch but the measurements below are flat. This is a great early sweater that will wear or display well. Measurements are below for your convenience. Armpit to armpit: 19. Top to bottom: 28. Large Vintage 1980s 80s Gianfranco Ferre Mohair Sweater Cardigan Duster Coat. This is a knit duster coat in mohair. Color is tough to describe, but I think pale rust is pretty close! Textile is loosely woven and unlined. Nice weight for fall or a light winter. Closes with a fur hook at the collar, the rest of the garment is open. Large, roomy balloon type sleeves. Should fit a large-extra large size depending on what you want to wear underneath. Large-XL Please Check Measurements to be Sure! Cost is based on total weight. This does not apply to fragile items that may have to be packed separately. Non-returnable items will be noted as such. Any/all accessories, and packaging must be included and hang tags must be attached. Vintage items will have wear consistent with age, this is part of their charm and should be expected.
