Vintage Korean Explosion-Proof Twin Fluorescent. Original item salvaged from military vessels, supertankers and cargo ships before being stripped, polished and refurbished in England. The original wiring has been replaced to conform with British standards and is supplied fitted with two 11 watt T8 led tube lights (or four tubular led filament bulbs for an additional cost of twenty five pounds). We have added beautiful solid brass fixings where possible which is a lovely additional design detail. Supplied with galvanised steel hanging eye bolts. The main body is cast aluminium with steel and brass fittings, the tubes are thick tempered flame proof glass. NOS Crouse-Hinds 100 watt Explosion Wall Sconce Porch Vtg Industrial Light +

CROUSE-HINDS INDUSTRIAL LIGHTING FIXTURE. NEW OLD STOCK, NEVER USED. Crouse Hinds Explosion Proof Light. Bought at least 45 years ago and never used, these were recovered from a closed factory storeroom in Washington State. Since they were all boxed, the condition is amazing. I didn’t even have to wash these fixtures, (although the glass did get treated to the dishwasher). The main potions of the light are cast iron, the 911 globe-guard is aluminum. The embossed Crouse Hind V75 globe is perfect. This is the smaller 100 watt size Crouse-Hinds sconce light. They are just over 10 tall from the bottom of the cage to the top of the mount. The cages are about 4 1/2 in diameter. Some of the lights may have a little minor shelf-ware. All electrical items should be checked and installed by a professional electrician. The light has been superbly engineered, and features a die cast ventilated body, Iconic design and an internal anodised reflector. The spot light has been professionally polished to a bright mirror finish by a specialist British company. The finish is to an extremely high standard. The Light gives a wide beam spread for feature / architectural lighting and showing specific objects such as a work of art. The Light is presented on a handcrafted highly polished metal tripod. The Movie production company has commented that this light was used on the Film set of “War of The Worlds” based on the H. Paramount had scores of the best talent in Hollywood with stars such as: Marlene Dietrich, Mae West, Gary Cooper, Claudette Colbert, The Marx Brothers, Dorothy Lamour, Carole Lombard and Bing Crosby. The light has been superbly engineered, and features a ventilated body, focusing arm, 360 degree rotation, ribbed focus lens and an internal reflector.
