This Antique French secretary, Marquetry ladies desk in Louis XV style dates from the Late 19th , early 20th C. The multicolor fruitwood secretary – ladies desk, in the elegant bombe Louis XV style curves , features bronze mounts on hips, feet and key hole surround. Most of the piece is covered in various florals motifs and a musical instrument themes inlaid in various colored woods , it features beautiful curved legs. The interior fold down writing desk compartment has two drawers and a fold down leather lined leather writing area. The leather was restored in 2000. Size is approximately 37 » tall , 27 » width , 19 »depth when closed. The Desk is sturdy and extremely functional with some minor losses to the wood inlay and patina , which do not diminish its charm. Overall it is in good condition. The drop down door is secure when locked. The Key is included, lock functional.
