Vintage Eclisse table lamp designed by Vico Magistretti in 1966 for Artemide, Italy. The spherical lampshade is made of aluminium lacquered orange. There is an inner lampshade of a similar shape lacquered white. Both shades are threaded through the bulb casing. The inner shade can swivel so that the bulb can be partly hidden. The spherical base is made of sheet metal lacquered orange. There is a black plastic cover underneath the base inscribed with the Artemide logo (Studio Artemide Milano, modello Eclisse, design Vico Magerstretti, made in Italy). The original switch is on the cord. The lamp is in excellent / very good condition and in full working order. Can be used with 110-230v supplies. As with all vintage electrical equipment, it is advisable to have it checked by a qualified electrician. The Eclisse lamp is a design classic, clearly part of the Space Age era.
