This stunning example of Tiffany’s earlier works during the Victorian and Art Nouveau era shows the mastery of the glass blowers and the artistry of the man himself, Louis Comfort Tiffany. The design of this saucer displays a quiet elegance unseen with more modern glass makers. The saucer gracefully up to a ruffled edged rim that has a stunning “onionskin” effect, similar to dragonfly wings! The beautiful iridescent color of the glass changes with different lighting, and with every movement. Truly amazing piece of antique art glass from a master of the decorative arts.
