For sale here is a great looking Vintage Harley Davidson Horsehide Biker Jacket From the 1940’s. The maker’s label is missing, but i did find an exact match that had a Harley Davidson Tag in the collar. This is an amazing jacket. The Horsehide is supple and solid, but is stiff as a material. Age hasn’t bothered the flexibility at all. The jacket is finished in black and has a red satin quilted liner. All of the zippers are Talon and are fully functional, though the tab takes some jiggling to start. I wiped the dust and a bit of mildew off, but didn’t do anything else to it. The jacket shows wear, age, light fading, and a few spics of dried paint, but really is in amazing condition. You could go for a full cleaning, or wear it just like it is. The liner shows similar wear, but is in great condition. The snaps are all in amazing condition and are Scovill marked. The Talon Zipper pulls all show patina. The chrome buckle is unmarked, and does show some light surface rust, especially to the back. There is a small spot of seam separation on the back side of the belt that isn’t noticeable and doesn’t create an issue in function. The armpits have multiple grommets. There are 4 dot silver prong back pins on the epaulettes and around each pocket. There is a tag in the collar that is marked Genuine Front Quarter Horsehide Leather, and there is a size tag of 38. Unfortunately, the Harley Davidson Tag is missing, but there are some stitch holes where it was. There is a cloth Union Made tag in the right side, and there is an illegible Processed W. Tag behind it in the right side. The exterior of the jacket has a very light old leather smell and the inside of the jacket has a light old smell. This is a small jacket.
