D ROSE MOD, Inc. Vintage Eames Herman Miller Billy Wilder Black and Eggplant Chaise Lounge Chair. Listed for sale is an original vintage Eames for Herman Miller chaise lounge chair. This chair was designed by Charles and Ray Eames for Billy Wilder (filmmaker). This example is finished with a beautiful eggplant frame and black upholstery. The eggplant/black variant is the most iconic and was originally specced this way by Charles and Ray Eames. This example dates to the early 1970’s and is one of the earlier examples around, as the design was not introduced until 1968. Condition is very good to excellent. The frame is in terrific shape. The leather is gorgeous and nicely patina’d for a vintage piece. The leather appears to have had a repair near the footrest cushion, but it not visually notable. I have tried to show this in photos. The chaise also comes with two original back cushions. And I will make sure that it is as inexpensive for you as possible.
