Gunne Sax Vintage 1970s Prairie Blue Dress Lace Up. This fabulous gunne saxs dress is so beautiful. It has long semi-sheer sleeves. The bodice has crochet style detailing and laces up. Very edwardian mixed with renaissance. The baby blue color is very pretty. There is a stain going down the skirt, shown in the pictures, not too noticeable but definitely present. It ties at the waist in the back and zips up the back. It has little faux pearl buttons at the cuffs. There is shiney blue ribbon along the waist and sleeves. 29 inch waist and 34 inch bust (but can be adjusted with the lace up)! I soaked this dress for 5 hours in the tub with really gentle detergent and had great success but didnt see this and didnt treat this spot. I think this will come out with hand soap/cold water but I dont want to dry her again. 59 shoulder to hem. Armpit to armpit: 14. Waist along ribbon is 12.5. Arm Length is about 22.5. The dress is in great condition with a couple small snags, Faint stains in several spots and is missing a couple pearls at the top of the back zipper and near the waist. The dress is a light peach with cream lace and lining. The fabric looks slightly lighter and darker due to the cream lining. Pit to pit 32. Shoulder to hem 57. Here is a super cute prairie dress with long sleeves and side ties. This one has a Montgomery Ward Tag, as shown in the photos. The material is a black cotton floral print, with blue, green, red, peach and white accents. This dress has to cutest flower bud buttons – six down the front of the bodice (which are decorative only) and one at each wrist (these are functional). MEASUREMENTS (taken laying flat and doubled where appropriate). Hips: 40″ (6″ down from waist). Length (shoulder to hem): 41. Bodice length (shoulder to waist): 12.25. The dress features full length, on or off the shoulder elastic tiered lace neck line, lace & ruffle short sleeves, lace outer layer with double tier lace ruffle, under dress of satin, back nylon zipper, wide satin waist ribbon, double satin ribbon waist insert, and 2 cotton hanging loops. Wonderful Gunne Sax quality garment. Fabric 100% acetate 100% nylon. Measures while laying flat: waist 13.75″ arm pit to arm pit 16″ length from middle of scoop neck to bottom 52. This dress measures out small. Clothes ran smaller back in the early 1980’s when this dress was made so please keep in mind when considering. Dress has a few minor, faint stains to under satin dress and a couple of minor faint stains to one of the waist ribbons. These are very difficult to see with the lace overlay dress and when ribbon tied. No holes or odors. Dress has been spot cleaned and refreshed with Dryel Home Dry Cleaning Process.
