Fabulous authentic Lane surfboard style coffee table from the Mid-Century. Table has one drawer with double handles giving the appearance of two drawers. Table has a surfboard tapered shape. Has a solid walnut wood base with a walnut wood base and drawer with a walnut wood look laminate top. Table measures 56″ long x 20″ wide x 15 1/4 tall. Item is in excellent vintage condition with normal age appropriate wear. Please view description and photos carefully. AN ANTIQUE, VINTAGE, EARLY 1900’s, VICTORIAN, SOLID WALNUT SOFA, COFFEE, OCCASIONAL, OR END TABLE WITH A REMOVABLE GLASS FRAMED TOP SERVING TRAY. THE TOP OF THIS VERY ORNATELY HAND CARVED TABLE HAS AN OVAL, CENTER’WELL’ THAT IS TIERED AND RECESSED. ON A RAISED PLINTH IN THE CENTER IS AN INTRICATELY CARVED RECLINING FIGURAL OF A PARTIALLY CLAD FEMALE, SURROUNDED BY AN ELEGANT MOTIF. THE LIGHT AND DARK SHADINGS IN THE WOOD FURTHER ENHANCE THE BEAUTY OF THE CARVING. THIS ORNATE VICTORIAN TABLE IS MOUNTED ON FOUR, CARVED, CABRIOLE LEGS THAT ARE CONNECTED BY A CARVED AND CURVED’X-SHAPED’ STRETCHER, THAT IS ADORNED BY A TURNED CENTER FINIAL. THE LEGS HAVE DETAILED SPOON CARVING AND END IN SCROLLED FEET/TOES. THE APRON AROUND THE TABLE FEATURES INTRICATELY, CARVED CUT OUTS. THE LIFT TOP TRAY IS SCALLOPED AND TIERED WITH SPOON CARVING ON THE OUTER EDGE. IT HAS BEEN FITTED WITH NEW PLATE GLASS. THIS BEAUTIFUL CARVED SOFA, OR COFFEE TABLE HAS BEEN PROFESSIONALLY REFINISHED, WITH A NATURAL FINISH, TO ENHANCE THE RICH TEXTURE AND GRAINING OF THE BEAUTIFUL WALNUT WOOD. IT MEASURES 27 INCHES LONG; 19 1/4 INCHES WIDE; AND IS 19 1/4 INCHES HIGH. THE TABLE AND TRAY ARE IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. Vintage Mid Century Modern Masonry Nail Steel Brutalist Coffee Table Paul Evans Era. PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE LISTING. Unique Vintage Brutalist Coffee Table Constructed of Welded Steel Masonry Nails and a Thick Square Glass Top in the Paul Evans Style. Features army green finish to the steel nails, geometric sculpted base, beautiful. 75 thick square glass top, and great modernist lines. 16.25″ H , 29.75″ W x 29.75 D. Base : 15.5″h x 19″w x 19d. Item is in very good vintage condition being structurally sound and sturdy with minor small rubs and dings to the finish on the nails. The glass is in very good vintage condition with only the very smallest nick to the edge as pictured in image # 14 below.
