Beads and silk chiffon over 100 years old usually fair poorly but this dress is an exception. It is in very good antique condition. There are some tiny flaws which I have gone over in the condition report above but nothing that takes away from it’s presentation or that cannot be fixed. The dress has beading front and back from the neck to the hips, and then again on the hemline. The skirt is full and two inches longer on each side, two inches shorter in the middle. The silk chiffon is a light yellow, and the beads are white and silver. There is no slip with the dress. It is sleeveless and just below the knee length. The dress is very pretty and totally wearable. The silk is strong with no shredding. The measurements of the dress taken laid flat and measured straight across are. Shoulder to shoulder 15 1/2″ – 16″. Shoulder to hem, longest at the sides, 42″ and middle of skirt 40″. Natural waist to hem, longest at sides 28″, shortest in the middle 26″.
