Lucie Ann was a lingerie favorite of the Hollywood movie star legends of the 1950’s, 1960’s, and 1970’s, and was featured in many movies and television shows. This set is very extravagant, the best of Lucie Ann! This set is 2 pieces, a nightgown and a peignoir robe. The entire set is made of yards and yards of flowing crystal or accordion pleated fabric, in an amazing shade of periwinkle blue. This set is so spectacular, it would be the perfect set for a very special Honeymoon! The sweep is so huge, this is true luxury! The peignoir robe is floor length, with a loose babydoll cut, and very, very full sweep, over 300 inches. The entire front edge, bottom edge, arm holes, and back neckline are trimmed with beautiful 2 1/2 inch floral scalloped lace. The shoulders are accented with giant 2 1/2 inch silk satin bows. The back is cut in a deep sexy vee, matching the outer robe! There is a satin tie on the inside of the robe, and a loop and a snap closure on the lace in front. The robe is lined, which I have never seen before. So over the top, this robe is show stopping! The nightgown is also quite stunning! The fitted upper bodice is made of beautiful floral scalloped lace. The bust has the classic Lucie Ann tulip hallmarks on the bust, done is a gorgeous contrasting lilac satin, mmmmm. The thin spaghetti straps are made of satin. The empire waist is accented with gorgeous eyelet lace, with a contrasting lilac satin cord woven through the eyelets. The cord ties in a beautiful bow at the waist, making the fit adjustable. The floor length skirt is made of the crystal pleated fabric, and has a very full sweep at the bottom trimmed with floral scalloped lace. The sweep is nearly 300 inches, so gorgeous! This 2 piece set is so spectacular, and a very, very rare find! This is perfect for the serious collector of rare and exquisite vintage lingerie. It would make an unbelievable bridal gift. This is Lucie Ann at her absolute finest! Condition This vintage piece is in excellent condition, with the original Lucie Ann fabric gold labels. Because of the silk bows and because of how rare and delicate this piece is, I would recommend professional cleaning only and careful storage.
