Eight day, time and hour/half hour striking mantel clock with outside visible movement. The dial is made with jewelled palates and Brocot aperture over the 12. Movement number 1557 which won the silver medal at the Paris Exposition in 1889. Clock was made by famous family of French Clockmakers, Samuel Marti et Cie in 1890. The pendulum is dual weighted with mercury filled tubes. The base has inscribed variegated designs carved into the marble. In excellent condition for its age and use. Comes with a key.
