Antique exceptional large rare E. J size 15 in his box Jumeau with trousseau. Head in pressed bisque of superb quality, extremely pale. No hairline, no restoration. The facial expression is melancholic. Beautiful hazelnut enamel eyes fixed very almond-shaped. Mouth closed, ears pierced and applied. The head is marked engraved ” Depose E 15 J “. Splendid blonde wig made of natural hair still well styled with its pressed cork cap, all original. The head is mounted on its magnificent original Jumeau body in very good condition, fully articulated in composition and wood, fixed wrists. This EJ baby is fully dressed in its original fine cotton dress with antique lace inlays with a low belt entirely in silk with a big silk knot on the back, beautiful breastplate, lined with braids. Original underwear (two shirts, one petticoat, one panty), pink silk shoes (one shoe with wear) socks. This bebe EJ also has a small trousseau a pair of blue shoes with embroidery, leather soles in very good condition, two antiques shirts, a beautiful cotton coat with lace and cotton covered buttons, a pair of wool socks and two caps entirely made of antique lace. This EJ bebe is presented in its original Jumeau box in good condition (the edges of the lid have been reinforced with tape with a small lack on one edge). Height of the EJ : 29,52 inches. Exceptionnel rare bébé E. J Taille 15 dans sa boîte d’origine avec son trousseau. Tête en biscuit pressé de superbe qualité, extrêmement pâle. L’expression du visage est mélancolique. Magnifiques yeux noisette en émail fixes très en amandes. Bouche fermée, oreilles percées et rapportées. La tête est marquée engraved ” Depose E 15 J “. Splendide perruque blonde en cheveux naturels encore bien coiffée avec sa calotte en liège pressé, le tout d’origine. La tête est montée sur son magnifique corps Jumeau d’origine en très bel état de conservation, entièrement articulé en composition et bois, poignets fixes. Ce bebe EJ est habillé entièrement d’origine de sa robe en coton fin avec incrustations de dentelle ancienne avec ceinture basse entièrement en soie avec gros nud de soie sur l’arrière, beau plastron, bordée de galons. Sous-vêtements d’origine (deux chemises, un jupon, une culotte), chaussures en soie rose (une chaussure avec usures) chaussettes. Ce bébé EJ possède également un petit trousseau une paire de chaussures couleur bleue avec broderies, semelles cuir en très bel état, deux chemises anciennes, un beau manteau en coton avec dentelle et boutons recouverts de coton, une paire de chaussettes en laine et deux bonnets entièrement en dentelle ancienne. Ce bébé EJ est présenté dans sa boîte d’origine Jumeau en bel état (les bords du couvercle ont été renforcés par du scotch avec un petit manque sur un bord). Hauteur de la EJ : 75 cm. ANTIQUE’TETE JUMEAU’ FRENCH BeBe BISQUE DOLL with MARKED DRESS

ANTIQUE’TETE JUMEAU’ FRENCH BeBe. “Closed Mouth” – Circa: 1886 – 1887. With “GALERIES LAFAYETTE – PARIS” MARKED DRESS. This doll is from a smoke free home and has no odors. BONJOUR VOUS BELLE POUPEE. This beautiful closed mouth’TeTe Jumeau’ doll is 19 1/2 inches tall. For price reference see page #300 in the book,’Doll Values’ 13th Edition by Linda Edward. Description of this doll can be found on page 327 on in “The Jumeau Book” by Francois Theimer and Florence Theriault. She has an very old faint hairline in the center of her forehead from the crown part-way down the forehead but does not even come close to the eyes or eye brows. You can see this when lighting the inside of the head and it cannot be seen with the wig on. She is nicely marked: on back of head – Depose TeTe Jumeau Bte. 9: and she is stamped on the back of her waist. She still has her colored beads that are for her pull – string crier. There has been no repainting as examined by a black light. She has a tiny chip off her thumb on the right hand. She has her original body finish. She has exquisite blue glass eyes. Her facial painting is gorgeous. She wears: original French leather shoes; black fine nylons; lace trimmed pantaloons; lace trimmed underskirt; fine linen under blouse; a terrific lined red dress marked “Galeries Lafayette Paris”; and a red matching hat. (If you don’t know this department store in Paris, google it – you are in for a treat). I think that her cork pate and wig are original. I just love these dolls. Early Roullet & Decamps automaton c. 1880 from Maison Simonne Jumeau or Bru head

Automaton referred in the Roullet-Decamps catalog with the number 25 :’danseuse’ (the dancer). It is an early model of the firm, period Jean Roullet, circa 1880. This automaton has the label of the famous shop’Maison Simonne’. This automaton works well : the right arm is moving and the head go from side to side. As indicated in the R & D catalog. Total height is 48 cm, as indicated in the R & D catalog. (a little less than 19). Very interesting bisque head – portrait like face – maybe Jumeau or Bru You can see on the pictures a classic original R & D key and the typical R & D on/off system. Only a very very small part of the original clothes is present (used socks, a part of the vest), these rich clothes were made many years ago. The wig is not original too like the velvet. Note that the pressed bisque head (unmarked) is free of hairline or restoration, the bisque arms are perfect too. =====> ask me for the video. Very beautiful with a display of fashion dolls. Stunning 18 inch Antique Closed Mouth French Tete Jumeau Bebe Doll Blue PW Eyes

Stunning 18 inch, size 8, Antique Closed Mouth French Depose Tete Jumeau Bebe Doll Blue PW Eyes. This sweet doll is a closed mouth Depose Tete Jumeau. Markings: She is marked Depose Tete Jumeau B te S. And the number 8 on the back of her neck. Her body is stamped Jumeau Medaille D’or Paris. She has gorgeous blue paperweight eyes with lash strokes all around her eyes, feathered brush stroked eye brows, pierced ears with blue earrings to match her beautiful eyes. Her lips are outlined in a soft red palet and she has a cute nose with the nostrils painted a subtle color similar to her lips. She overall has a regal appearance in her blue cloak. She has what appears to be a soft blond human hair wig and cork pate. Condition: Her bisque head is free of cracks or chips; however, she shows a whitening mark on her right nostril and a tiny grey rub streak on her nose, which is an unknown source for me. These marks are very subtle and do not detract from her overall French appearance. Her composition body is overall in very good condition for her age. There is a chip in the composition on her left upper arm and her right hand shows some of the composition cracking, which is expected with age, but is fairly subtle. There is wear and composition has worn a little on the front and back side of her right leg joint at the knee. Clothing: She wears a beautiful blue cloak where the sleeves are lined with a scroll outline all which covers a blue jumper dress with a blouse. She dawns a matching bonnet with real feather in her hat. She retains her under skirt, original shoes and socks. Antique Jumeau Automaton French Gypsy Doll

This is truly a rare find! This doll is an all original Jumeau Automation French Gypsy Doll. The gypsys body and head move along with the tambourine while it is being shaken. This Automation Jumeau doll is a wonderful Victorian mechanical doll from France. This gypsy lady has three movements. Her head turns, her arms, move up and down as she shakes the tambourine in one hand. And the rare movement is when her waist and hips move as she dances. She is dressed in very appropriate clothing. Her dress is fraying some with age, but she is all original. The very fine bisque head has a V marking on the back of her neck. On the bottom of the wooden music box there is a paper label that reads, Au Nain Bleu, E. Chauviere, Boul des Capucines 27, Paris, (JUK is hand written). The key to the music box is made of cast iron, and has the initials, LB cast in the center of the oval. The doll is in working order. Again, this is truly a rare find, and we stand behind her guaranteeing that she is original, and authentic. Exquisite 20 Early Jumeau Portrait Fashion Poupee

Exquisite 20 Early Jumeau Portrait Fashion Poupee, circa 1875. Dressed in a beautiful two-piece outfit of dark blue and white cotton with ivory silk ribbon gathered trim salvaged from an antique Victorian lady’s dress. The skirt front and back are accented with large dark blue ribbon bows. The jacket and skirt are both lined with black cotton. The jacket closes with tiny hooks down the front under the ruffle. The dress was made by Carol H. The outfit includes antique underwear and white leather shoes. She is wearing a floral decorated hat and her blonde human hair wig is in the style of the period and compliments her creamy bisque and pale blue glass eyes. The bisque has no hairlines, cracks or other damage. It is in excellent condition. Her cloth body and legs are in fair condition, with some patches. Her kidskin arms have split open at the creases and need to be taped. (see photos) I have wrapped them in cellophane to secure them. This stunning antique French Closed Mouth Tete Jumeau Bebe, by Emile Jumeau circa 1885, is a treasure to behold! Her deepest chocolate, inset paperweight eyes are delicately fringed with finely painted lashes and accentuated with gracefully arched multi-stroked brows. Her cherubic bisque face features peachy pink lips and soft pink cheek blush. Little original blue earrings adorn her ears. Her long, human hair chestnut brown curls and tendrils frame her face beautifully and cover her original cork pate. Her original antique costume is darling! Resplendent in hues of the softest robin’s egg blue, and antique lace. A sumptuous satin bow ties the bonnet that frames her face artfully with tulle, rosettes and lace. Lovely antique lacy undergarments and original marked Jumeau shoes complete the ensemble. She is the epitome of a proper little French girl during an era when French youngsters were doted upon, and rightfully so.
