Old Antique Vtg 19th C 1887 to 1908 Watercolor Folk Art Clinton Family Record
This offering is for an antique folk art Family Record. The hand painted artwork features an arch at center with circles around the sides and bottom. The earliest date is the birth date of the gentleman, Andrew J Clinton in 1867. His wife Lula C. Fink was born in 1870. The couple were married in 1887 and there are records for nine of there offspring with the latest date being 1908. The sight size is 9.5″ by 11.5″ and the frame size is app. 13.25″ by 15.25″. Please note that the very edges of the artwork show some signs of having gotten wet at some point. The paper is still solid but you can see that it faded the artwork at the edges. If you wished to do so the work can easily be trimmed just outside the oval and nearly all of the damage would be removed. As it sits the folk art work still displays beautifully though as seen in our photo’s.
