This antique French advertising sign was required to be displayed outside all Boucherie Chevaline, and dates from circa 1880. A realistically cast horse head made of pieced and soldered metal, possibly zinc or spelter, and while the patinated surface is appropriate to its age the item is otherwise undamaged.
