Last week the Perpetual winding Rolex signed cal 1560 movement with hack set sweeping seconds hand was thoroughly inspected, it is running well with a strong beat. At that time watch case, case back, crystal, and bezel were professionally detailed. The case measures 34 mm wide excluding the crown (it’s an average sized mens watch for the time period, by today’s standards it would be considered a midsized or unisex watch). There is some wear through of the gold cap, but not bad. The winding crown is its original twin lock screw down Rolex signed crown. The coin edges on the case back show no improper tool use. The band on the watch is a genuine Rolex “riveted” Oyster link gold capped stainless steel bracelet. The bracelet is date coded for 1973, so it is newer that the watch. It is 12 links long and will fit up to a 7.75 wrist without adding links. The dial is the original dial to the watch, never refinished, and very nice for its age. It has a nice even patina with only minor marks. The serial number and model numbers on the watch case are missing. They may have been polished off by a leather band that may have been on the watch at some point, or somebody may have gotten aggressive on a polishing, we don’t know. The pictures have been taken from every angle and represent the watch well, in fact they are 3x magnified, the dial is beautiful, and the watch is polished to a perfect shine.
