Sessions Clock Company c. 1923 Model: Providence Condition: This clock comes to you as shown having been recently cleaned, oiled and adjusted. It is an 8 day time and strike, striking on the hour and half hour as it was made to do. ALL mechanical clocks need basic adjustments like setting the beat and regulating the time. If you do not know how to do this, YouTube has plenty of videos on how to set the beat of a mechanical clock. If you do know how to set the beat and regulate the time, you will be very pleased with its performance. It almost looks like someone used Kotton Clenz to remove the original top coat because the typical alligatored finish, and then sealed it with a new top coat because the stain does appear to be old and too nice to be redone. Again, I’m not 100% sure. The celluloid dial has the typical yellowing finish evenly aged as it should be. The brass bezel has very little sag when opening and it snaps shut as it is supposed to. The silvered finish on the sash is worn heavily. The pendulum is signed and the key is old both, more than likely original to the clock. The movement is signed and bushings all appear nice and tight.
