This doll has not been passed around like so many you see for sale these days. Note the little note that is included. How often do you see these dolls with real provenance! I have not cleaned or altered her, but you may want to give her a wipe down. As such, some of the areas, such as under the upper arms may be dirt or uneven tone. This number 3 Barbie is very nice. Her paint is of course original and has not been altered and as far as I can tell is complete (there may be some age related wear that is not visible to the naked eye, this doll is over 60 years old after all). I have left her hair alone as I believe the topknot youre be original. I did add a bottom rubber band to her ponytail to keep it in place as the bottom curl has fallen apart. Her RARE NIPPLED body is mostly a tan tone with lighter and darker tones here and there. The torso may be a shade lighter around the décolletage area above her nippled breasts. This is typically due to storage and general age with these dolls. There is no major staining that I see aside from what you would expect to see from handing and age, but please ask for photos if there is something specific you want to see. Her limbs move freely. It looks like she has some small red dots on the top of her feet from what I suspect to be from red shoes. The body smells of crayons as it should. Some photos were taken outdoors to show natural sunlight color. There is a very small amount of green at her earring holes – not visible with a pearl earring in, hardly worth mentioning as this is so common, but pictured. Barbie will arrive with her original TM box marked BRUNETTE as is appropriate. The box does show age and slight discoloration, see photo. One end does have split corners have which have been repaired – by me with acid free adhesive, the box bottom has one corner that is still split. Either way, these TM boxes are getting more and more difficult to come by and are very valuable in their own right as few have survived. This box also has the little girls name written on the back, so sweet! The brunette Barbie is more rare than the blonde Barbie as only 1 brunette was made for every 3 blondes which makes the box even harder to find. The number 3 Barbie is increasing in value and in my opinion is a good investment. Remember that this doll is old, as such, it may have age and storage related aromas that my nose does not detect. Having said that, I do keep my dolls in a smoke and pet free environment that is temperature and humidity controlled.
