Vintage Pyrex Ultra Rare PROTOTYPE Turquoise Blue #025 Hostess Bowl Set with Lid. There is not much that is known about this Amazing Set as most were produced in Red, Yellow or occasionally a Dusty Rose Color. I have included a snapshot from one of my Pyrex guides listing what details are known. The second photo shows this set next to my more common Turquoise Snack Set. The Turquoise color on this Hostess Set is more of a Deep Aqua Turquoise when compared against the Chip and Dip set, and my Solid Turquoise Refrigerator Dishes and Mixing Bowls. The Turquoise Bowls and Refrigerator dishes launched in 1956, and the Snack Set in 1959, and with the est. Date of this Hostess Prototype of 1953 this may have been the originally planned shade that ended up changed with the 1956 launch. Please know that these are the opinions I have arrived at based on the research I have done. I carefully double wrap and double box all Vintage Glass.
