This is a Vintage Hamilton Military Watch, model GG-W-113 plus TWO NATO straps (green & black), dated June 1982, and in VERY NICE condition. This watch is running well, hacking & keeping time well within 30 seconds/day. Power reserve over 24 hours! You may feel some. Occasional’sticky’ points that have no effect on the performance or timekeeping. Military dial with Arabic numerals 1-12 and also 13-24. Tritium luminous, Pumpkin colored markers. Luminous tritium hands (hydrogen 3). 17 jewel manual wind mechanical movement, Swiss made ETA 2750, Hamilton Cal. 649, running very well, hacking function is working. ETA 2750 is marked on the main-plate. The GG-W-113 was issued to aviators with a Cal. 649 hacking mechanism which stops the second hand from moving, allowing you to more easily start, stop or set the time exactly on the second. 649 has a beat rate of 21,600 BPH, which is faster than most vintage watches of that time which often had beat rates of 18,000 BPH. Also, all GG W 113 watches have a crown and stem that snap into place with a key-like function. When pulling the crown out to set the time, it is always best to pull the crown gently and slowly because over time, many GG W 113’s will eventually get a worn stem as the crown is removed (pulled out) for servicing and/or repairs and reinserted over the years. Stainless steel with a parkerized finish to reduce glare and shine from bouncing off of the case. Parkerization made the stainless steel more durable for use in the field under heavy weather and combat conditions. Correct original plain crown. Correct thick original fixed pins. Width: 33mm not including the crown. Lugs: 17 (mm apart). This watch was designed to be water resistant & shock resistant, and designed to survive a fall from 4 feet onto a wooden block. However, I have not and would never test these features on any vintage watch and highly recommend not dropping your watch or exposing your vintage watch to water. Water and shock damage should be avoided always with vintage watches regardless of specifications and original designs. Back of the Case.
