Antique 19th C. English Oak Court Cupboard Buffet Sideboard Hutch China Cabinet

English Oak Court Cupboard Buffet Sideboard Hutch China Cabinet. This Renaissance Revival court cupboard was hand-carved from dark oak during the latter half of the 19th century. It is embellished with low-relief cabochons and beveled panels on the upper cabinets and pediment, as well as the lower cupboard. Like all court cupboards, it consists of three pieces and is very similar to a buffet, with short or hidden legs. Up top there is an upper set of cabinets with narrow-paned doors, ornate brass escutcheons, and a central cabinet heavily carved with a romantic pastoral scene. Inside there are adjustable/removable wood shelves the stretch the length of the top section all three cabinet doors open to the same space. Next, there is the gallery with its wide display space and beautifully turned rails. The bottom half is what would be traditionally considered a “buffet” with its square design, short legs and bun facade. The beveled glass in the upper doors is not original and there are several signs of repair done to the piece over time. There have been new hinges on the bottom doors and the escutcheons n the top doors are also not original. The piece measures 93″ high, 55 1/2″ wide, 21 deep, and weighs between 150 -175 lbs. This piece is in good condition for its age. It does show signs of wear to the wood as well as from woodworm for which it has been treated. It has been updates and/or repaired on numerous occasions. Circa 1910 – 1920 E H Sheldon maker – OAK CABINET – step-back like cupboard from a science lab – NC college. Measures 78.5″ high x 70.5″ wide. Top glass doors are 21.5″ wide x 39.5″ high. Depth of cabinet on base is 23″ and top is 14.25″ deep. There are three original shelves for the top interior – they are 11 deep. GREAT piece for a kitchen, store or even a bedroom cabinet – LOTS OF STORAGE HERE!!! This piece weighs a lot – estimating 250-300# Lots of wood here. Wonderful look – very functional! Vintage Shop Fitting / Pigeon Hole Unit / Store Cupboard

An Absolutely Superb early 1900s Pigeon Hole Unit / Shop Fitting. With Twenty Five Sections to the top and Six larger sections below. In a good coloured golden pine. Nice simple clean lined piece which is just stunning really! It’s a really good looking very useful piece. Its in great order overall as you will see. Its just been stripped of its historic paint finishes and now us back to its natural pine. Its ready for re finishing wether it be waxing , oiling , painting etc (it might need a light rub down). Could work in a variety of different surroundings wether Kitchen , dining room , office , study , bar , restaurant, shop etc. Height -155.5 cm. Width – 89.5cm. Depth at base – 32.5 cm. Depth at top – 17.5 cm. Small sections at top. Width – 15.5 cm. Height – 15.5 cm (11 cm on outside). Width – 26.5 cm. High – 31.5 cm. As with all items of age they may show signs of ware and use but can also have character that you will not always find in newer pieces. As mentioned the piece is in really good overall condition. As mentioned above the item has been stripped and is now ready for re finishing. There is a small scratch on the front at the top and on the left side (see photo). Other than this its a good heavy piece in great overall condition. Overall a great interesting piece. The cabinet is located near Beauly in the Highlands and can be viewed and collected from here. From mid September I will be no longer using my carrier due to a huge raise in pricing and an unfortunate amount of careless breakages. So I will be doing a trip around the county personally once a month and will deliver the item for you then by hand this way it will he a personal service and will guarantee safety of the piece plus save in meters and meters of bubble wrap and tape. The only thing maybe the slightly longer wait to get the item to you. The most it would be is 4 weeks the least a few days just depending on the amount. As soon as I have a full van I will set off. Large Vintage 56 Drawer library Card Catalog storage cabinet cupboard 7 Ft Tall

You are looking at a Large Vintage wooden 56 Drawer Card Catalog or tool chest or cupboard. This is from and old school house and it was saved. This is 7 feet tall but casters on a wooden frame have been added to the bottom for rolling and that adds a few inches. It is 4 feet wide and 2 feet in depth. There are 56 drawers. The solid wood drawers measure 21 inches x 4 3/4 inches x 10 1/4 inches. It looks as if there were doors on this at one point due to hinge marks. There is an entire cabinet built around it. There is surface scratching on the sides, and it is probably in perfect condition if the encasing was taken off. I don’t know of course. The whole cabinet is extremely heavy. It took four of us to place this in my garage. There is a couple of areas as shown in the pictures that had termites probably at one time. The cabinet is in sturdy condition. There are brass handles with two missing. The tags are all there that hold labels. It came out of an old high school that was built in 1973 and placed there then. I was told that this was brought to that high school from another high school that was being shut down. My suggestion would be to hire someone to move it. The item is located in Georgetown, Kentucky. Stunning wooden bank of drawers cupboard with a total of 114 drawers. Cabinet features double doors. Dark, nearly black, wood stain with brass hardware. Numbered tags are attached to the upper 108 square faced drawers. Total of 15 rows of drawers: (top to bottom). Rows 1 – 12 : drawers each measure approximately 2 1/4″ x 2 1/4″ x 4 1/2 (outside dimensions) and are arranged 9 per row. Row 13 : drawers each measure approximately 6″ x 3″ x 4 1/2 (outside dimensions) and are arranged 3 in the row. Row 14 : drawers each measure approximately 9 1/4″ x 3″ x 4 1/2 (outside dimensions) and are arranged 2 in the row. Row 15 : drawer measures approximately 18 1/2″ x 3″ x 4 1/2 (outside dimensions). Drawer 56 has chipped corner. Decorative panel cabinet doors swing open on smooth hinges and provide jelly cabinet appearance. Right door has latch to allow it to stay shut while left door is open. Originally locked but key is missing. It is likely that the lock hardware can be replaced. Doors stay shut without the lock. Perfect for farmhouse, early medical, primitive, steampunk, hardware store, or general store mood. Unit measures approximately 47″ x 22″ x 6 1/2. Back panel has holes in it where it appears to have been wall mounted. Item(s) comes as-is.
