The doll is this listing is an authentic #1 Barbie doll created in 1959. It is NOT a reproduction, a fake, or any other kind of replica of any sort. Prior to the work of Angil Gill she administered an alcohol test to the paint work on her face. The results showed as a result of alcohol being rubbed across the face. Ie, the brows, eyes, or lips. Thus this is an authentic, original 1959 raven haired, #1 Barbie. Angie Gill, professionally cleaned and completely restored this doll. Her lips have been color washed back to the original color that was remaining before I started my work. She rebuilt her black eyelash ridge on her right eye. (your left as looking at the doll) She then touched up both black eyelash ridges, added blush, and touched up her toenails and her fingernails. All paint work that she did on this doll was put back to her original colors. No artistic liberties were taken. She rerooted her hair in several areas along her hairline, on the sides and the back. She has also entirely rerooted her bangs. A vintage #5 Barbie head was used for the donor hair for all rerooting on this #1. Everything else on the doll is original to her as she was created in 1959. The letter is notarized and signed by the artist and notery. I want to add that there is some die stain on her left foot from the heels. The heels included are NOT #1 heels. This doll has retained most of her beautiful original color and has not faded to white. A prize for any collector. Angie Gill is a renowned doll artist in the Barbie world.
