Olma triple date calendar early “Bumper” automatic mens wristwatch, made in the 1950s. It is powered by a mechanical automatic winding movement. Very rare and very special upper bezel: it is not a flat edge bezel, it is curved to inside, it is very very hard to make and much more considering it is made on swiss stainless steel. All pictures are fully original, never retouched as part of a better description. FUNCTIONS: Hour, minutes, sub seconds, date with beautiful blue steel pointer and blue date numerals around the dial (hard to tell in pics but they’re blue), days of the week and month windows. The two pushers are on the right next to the winding crown and function as they should. The top pusher changes the month, the bottom pusher changes the date pointer. DIAL: Authentic and original Olma triple date calendar dial, it is “OLMA”, “Automatic”, “Waterproof”, “17 jewels”, “swiss made” marked. Original very rare spade hands. Guilloched subdial at 6 for small seconds. Blue Date ring on outer dial, windows at 12 for days and months. Days and months are in Spanish language. New Plexiglas in excellent condition. Original pencil hands with original luminous material. On hour numerals there are dots made of luminous material, they are original as well. Fully original, never retouched, refinished, repainted or replaced dial. This dial is in incredible mint condition. CASE: Authentic and original OLMA triple date calendar case, it is a round case made of fine and solid stainless steel. Hermetic screwed back case made of fine and solid stainless steel too. On external side it is “Automatic”, “stainless steel”, “Shock-Absorber”, “Antimagnetic”, “Waterproof” marked. Inside it is: “Swiss”, “5 51″, “201” marked on a beautiful perlage decorated metal base. There is a special metal cup on movement to dust, rusty and antimagnetic protection. Special waterproof small pusher at 4 to quick date setting, small pusher at 2 to quick months setting. Case measures: diameter without crown: 33,15 mm. Lug to lug: 39,95 mm. This case is in beautiful mint condition. Watch lugs for strap are just barely under 18mm in my opinion for metal links. Watch fits 18mm leather and NATOs easily. MOVEMENT: Authentic and original OLMA triple date calendar movement, it is a mechanical movement with an early “Bumper” automatic winding system. Beautiful movement, bridges are anglage finished and colimaconnage decorated, plate is colimaconnage decorated. Movement is “swiss made”, “17 jewels” marked. This movement is in excellent working condition, it has been fully professionally serviced recently by master watchmaker. Beautiful very high shining movement. For reference the Pictures show 18mm leather strap, 18mm NATO, 17.7mm Rolex oyster straight lug, and a 17.7mm Beads of rice bracelet.
