M Antique Rare 17 Simon & Halbig , Mold 939 Character Doll. The bisque head is in perfect condition. There are no cracks, hairlines, or restoration. The head is incised S10H and the number 939. The doll has beautiful blue spiral threaded enamel paperweight eyes, and an open mouth, rose colored lips and accented nostrils. Beautiful painted eyelashes and feathered eyebrows, and a small cork pate under wig. She has the early style square cut teeth. Two on top and one on bottom, along with pierced ears. She also has an early style German ball jointed doll body, with straight wrists in very nice condition. It may or may not have a voice box, but I didn’t want to tear body apart to find out if voice box is in body. Hands show some normal paint wear. She comes with antique undies, and a beautiful vintage maroon dress, and black socks marked with large B on them, and antique black leather shoes marked with an 8 1/4 and initials L. In a circle on the leather soles and a brown pompom on shoe toe, again in excellent condition. She has her original dark blonde wig and an antique maroon hat.
