Last week the Perpetual winding Rolex signed Bubbleback movement with sweeping seconds hand was fully inspected, it is running strong and about 10 minutes fast per day, so at some point some watchmaker must have lightened the balance wheel. At the time of its next servicing this can be handled or you can just set it a few minutes slow in the morning and it will be a few minutes fast at bed time. At that time the watch case, case back, crystal, bracelet and bezel were professionally lightly polished and satin refinshed leaving the watch scratch and dent free. The case measures 32 mm wide excluding the crown (it’s an average sized mens watch for the time period, midsized by todays standards, and looks great on ladies too). The coin edges on the case back show a couple of improper / slipped tool marks. The band is a non-Rolex brand quality Italian made crocodile skin replacement with unsigned buckle. The dial has never been refinished and shows heavy patina, which looks great. The hour and minute hands appear to be original with some lume drop out in the minute hand. The seconds hand is a replacement. The pictures have been taken from every angle and represent the watch well, in fact they are 3x magnified, the dial is beautiful, and the watch is polished to a perfect shine. Any imperfections you see in the shine are just reflections the camera caught. This is a beautiful example of this model. EVERY MAJOR PART ON THIS WATCH IS GENUINE ROLEX EXCEPT FOR THE LEATHER BAND.
